Public sector:

      The public sector comprises governmental bodies and organisations which are not run to obtain a profit.


Qualitative method:

      In the context of Foresight activities, the term qualitative is used to describe methods, information or research based on subjective estimates, such as the judgment of experts (often from brainstorming), and not on quantifiable information.


Quantitative method:

      Quantitative methods are research methods involving numbers and measurements. They are therefore to be distinguished from qualitative methods.
